In Memory of Mother

I was chocked with sorrow when Amy called about mother’s passing. But once I calmed down, I have to thank God for what grace and mercy He has bestowed on Mother and us.I often cited the story of my grandma that in her last days, when traveled to China to stay with the remaining children of hers, one day she took a walk in the garden with her children, she came home to take a nap, and that was when she was taken by angels and went to heaven. I marveled at the manner mother was taken too. After touring Taiwan with all of her children and some grandchildren, two days after we returned to the States, she passed on in the hospital, again surrounded by the blessing and prayers of her children by her side and by phone.Mother has been a role model for me. She was energetic, forthcoming, fun loving, unselfish, and full of mercy. She devoted her time in caring and visiting her church members, her family and relatives, writing, painting, and encouraging people.Aside from her virtues, I wish that I can also carry on being how youthful she looked. I will always treasure the times that we spent in our family activities in praying, singing, discussing, walking, and the endless fun jokes amongst brothers and sisters.
